Boost Interview (“Boost Interview,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides AI-powered interview preparation, mock interviews, live captions, translation, answer guidance, and interview feedback.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Profile image
- Authentication provider, such as Google
- Account and subscription status
Candidate information
You may optionally provide:
- Resumes and employment history
- Target positions, companies, and job descriptions
- Project descriptions and achievements
- Skills, strengths, weaknesses, and work-style information
- Candidate Memory and other interview-preparation content
Interview information
When you use interview or mock-interview features, we may process:
- System audio containing interviewer speech
- Microphone audio containing your responses
- Live captions and translations
- Interview questions and answers
- Session duration and timestamps
- AI-generated answers, scores, summaries, and feedback
Unless clearly stated otherwise, Boost Interview does not permanently store raw interview audio. Temporary audio may be processed as necessary to provide transcription and related features. If optional recording storage is introduced, we will request your consent and explain the retention period before recording.
Technical and usage information
We may collect:
- Operating-system family and, for macOS compatibility checks, a best-effort major version (which may be unknown); we do not retain the full browser User-Agent or hardware details for this purpose
- App version
- IP address
- Login and session records
- Feature usage
- Error reports and diagnostic logs
- AI token usage and service-performance data
Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We may receive information such as billing status, subscription plan, payment date, transaction amount, and payment-related identifiers. We do not directly store complete payment-card details.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage accounts
- Provide live captions, translation, AI guidance, and mock interviews
- Personalize answers using your resume, Target Role, Projects, and Work Style
- Maintain conversation context for follow-up questions
- Generate interview reports and feedback
- Synchronize data between the website and desktop application
- Manage subscriptions and free-trial limits
- Prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents
- Diagnose errors and improve service reliability
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
3. AI Processing and Model Training
Your resumes, Candidate Memory, transcripts, and interview content may be sent to AI and speech-processing providers only as necessary to provide requested features.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your resumes, Candidate Memory, interview transcripts, or other private content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Our service providers may process information according to their contractual obligations and privacy terms.
4. Service Providers
We may use third-party providers for services including:
- Cloud database, authentication, and file storage
- AI generation and speech transcription
- Payment processing
- Email delivery
- Error monitoring and analytics
- Customer support
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and perform other purposes permitted under their agreements with us.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform.
We generally retain personal information as follows:
- Account information: until account deletion
- Resume and Candidate Memory: until deleted by the user
- Transcripts and reports: until deleted by the user or until the account is deleted.
- Temporary audio: generally deleted after processing unless retention is reasonably necessary for security, legal, or service-related purposes.
- Security and billing records: retained as legally required
- Deleted-account data will be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed, unless we are required by law to retain it.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Object to or restrict certain processing, where applicable; and
- Submit a complaint to the relevant data protection authority.

7. Recording and Consent
Laws concerning recording and transcription vary by location. You are responsible for informing other participants and obtaining any consent required before recording, transcribing, or processing a conversation.
Boost Interview does not provide legal advice regarding recording consent.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Children and Age Requirements
Boost Interview is not intended for children under 13. Users under the age of legal majority should use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when legally required.
